The hotel accommodation in each resort - the Zurbriggen Apparthotel in Zermatt and the Grand Hotel Bella Tola in St-Luc - has been chosen carefully. Our hotels offer 4 star luxury, are full of character and offer you the chance to maximise your preparation for big ski days; the highest levels of spa relaxation and massage are available, as well as cuisine of the highest standard. St-LucSt-Luc is an unspoilt jewel of a resort situated within the extensive Zinal Grimentz ski domain. A funicular railway takes three minutes to deliver you from the village up into the lift system at 2,200 metres. From here, chairlifts and T-bars bring you up to an extraordinary winter playground at 3,000 metres. The top of the Bella Tola mountain is at 3,025 metres with panoramic views onto the Weisshorn, Gabelhorn, Matterhorn and Dent Blanche. No queuing here – just kilometre after kilometre of carving and off-piste heaven. In St-Luc we stay in the stylish Grand Hotel Bella Tola. Dating from 1859, the Bella Tola was voted the Historical Hotel of the Year in 2001. This family-run hotel breathes tradition: bedrooms are individually decorated with period furniture evoking the Bella Tola’s ‘Belle Époque’ past. The Hotel now boasts a new wellness centre ideal for après-ski revitalisation. ZermattThe resort of Zermatt means different things to the different people who visit it year-round. For some, it’s simply the most beautiful and romantic resort in the world, a gastronomic paradise nestling in car-free tranquillity beneath perhaps the most stunning Alpine icon of them all, the Matterhorn. For others, it’s all about the skiing: a lift system that has been massively modernised in recent years to link the three previously separate areas of Rothorn, Gornergrat and Matterhorn/Schwarzsee; the link down to Cervinia on the Italian side of the Matterhorn; the huge range of terrain lying between the village of Zermatt at 1,620m and the highest lift in the Alps, the Klein Matterhorn, at a staggering 3,887m – and that’s before considering the helicopter skiing possibilities on Monte Rosa and Alphubeljoch. In Zermatt, Radius will be accommodating its clients at the Apparthotel Zurbriggen, owned by Olympic and multiple World Championship and World Cup Champion Pirmin Zurbriggen, situated next to the lifts to the Trockener Steg/Klein Matterhorn/Schwarzsee area. The Apparthotel Zurbriggen is constructed of glass and local larch wood, and has superb views onto the Matterhorn. The spa and relaxation centre at the Zurbriggen is second to none in Zermatt and features a relaxation pool with winter garden, a crystal thermal bath, sauna, ice grotto, massage, Kneipp herbal bath and solarium.
